What’s on at West Notts? December

Santa fun run 2016The countdown to Christmas has begun and with so many festive activities happening at the college throughout December there is no better way to get into the Christmas spirit.

Santa Run

The Annual West Notts Santa Run is back again this year on Wednesday 13 December commencing at 2pm at Derby Road. Come and join us by running, walking, dancing, whatever kind of movement you would like in aid of the Mansfield Winter Shelter.

Registration will take place in the Vision Room from 11.30am (until 1.30pm) on the day. You can either pay the £2 entry fee or get sponsored a minimum of £2. Following the race, participants are welcome to attend an after party in the covered courtyard and will include hot drinks, snacks and music.

Christmas Market

Still looking for Christmas gifts? Why not do some Christmas shopping and help to support student enterprises at the same time? Have a browse of some amazing handmade gifts, crafts, foods and so much more this year. The Christmas Market will be held in the atrium once again on Wednesday 13 December from 11am until 3pm, so don’t miss your chance to get in the festive swing.

Christmas dining at Refined

Fancy a festive feast? Check out Refined’s Christmas dining on selected Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout December. Wednesday’s ‘Christmas Menu’ and Thursday’s ‘Christmas Fine Dining’ themed evenings are going to be huge this year so make sure you book your evening of tasty delights in advance.

Bookings can be made on the website, or by calling 01623 413 629. With an array of Christmas dished being served, don’t miss your chance to warm your heart with a delicious Christmas dinner before the big day.

The Scottish Play at Create

Our HE students will be performing Macbeth on Thursday 14 December at 7pm. This Shakespeare play is full of drama, power and revenge and at £5 per ticket why wouldn’t you come along? The students have worked very hard learning their lines and perfecting their performance skills, so make sure you come and support them. It’s a great theatrical performance for all the family and a great way to spend a cold winter’s night. Remember to book your tickets on the website.
